NYC Housing Connect tool intends to make affordable housing searches a more user-friendly experience. On June 16, 2020, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the launch of “NYC Housing Connect,” an online tool for finding and applying for affordable housing. The new system provides upgrades from its predecessor through a collaborative effort by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, user-design experts and collected public feedback.

DDC Annouces Request for Qualifications for Borough-Based Jail Construction
Contracting for the construction of the Borough-Based Jails under way. On February 4, 2020, the Department of Design and Construction announced the issuance of four Request for Qualifications for the Design-Build teams that might construct the new borough based jails. The four jails will be located at 24-125 White Street in Manhattan, 745 East 141st Street in the Bronx, 126-02 82nd Avenue in Queens and at 275 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.

City Planning Approves Modified Plans for Redevelopment of Harlem Church
The proposed building would house the redeveloped La Hermosa Church, community facilities, and residential units. On October 15, 2019, the City Planning Commission voted to approve an application to develop a new 29-story tower-on-a-base mixed-use building at 5 West 110th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. DCP Announces New NYC POPS Logo
The winning logo was chosen from 607 submitted designs from around the world. On May 20, 2019, the Department of City Planning, the Advocates for Privately Owned Public Space and the Municipal Art Society of New York unveiled the new NYC POPS logo, which will be displayed at all 550 POPS locations across the city.
