Landmarks proposes new streamlined storefront rules

Citywide rule change would streamline review process for changes to building storefronts under Landmarks’ jurisdiction. Rule amendment would expand staff-level approval authority for some types of window and sign alterations. On March 1, 2011, Landmarks held a public hearing on proposed amendments to the rules pertaining to construction work on properties under Landmarks’ jurisdiction. LPC seeks fee increase

Current fee structure created in 2004. On August 4, 2009, Landmarks held a hearing on a proposed fee increase for new building and alteration applications. The rule was published in the City Record on July 2, 2009.
