Parks Dept. Cuts Ribbon on New Park in Highbridge
On March 28, 2023, Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue and Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson joined community representatives and advocates to celebrate the opening of Corporal Fischer Park, a new park in Highbridge that replaced a formerly empty fenced off lot. The new park is on West 170th Street between Nelson Avenue and Shakespeare Avenue.
HPD Celebrates Opening of New Residential Buildings with Affordable Housing on Bedford Union Armory Site in Crown Heights
On March 21, 2023, officials from the New York City Department of Housing preservation and Development (HPD), Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and Economic Development Corporation (EDC) joined development partners to celebrate the opening of 1101 and 1089 President Street in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. New residents moved into the new two affordable buildings that were part of the redevelopment of the Bedford Union Armory.
