City Celebrates Moore Park Renovation in Corona

On March 26, 2025, New York City Commissioner Sue Donoghue and other critical stakeholders process of the $4.25 million renovation of the William F. Moore Park located in Corona, Queens. This project was funded by Councilmember Moya and Borough President Richards. In total, the City Parks department will be conducting $34 million worth of park renovation projects in Councilmember Moya’s district. Some of these projects include Caminiti Park, American Triangle, and Park of the Americas.


City Announces Rule Changes for Unlawful Dumping on Parks Properties

On March 31, 2025, New York City Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue and other critical stakeholders announced the City has amended a rule to increase penalties for unlawful dumping on Parks properties. An amendment to Section 1-07 of NYC Parks rules, effective March 31, raises the prior $1,000 penalty for a first-time illegal dumping offense to $5,000. Parks Celebrates Vinland Playground Transformation in Bay Ridge

On December 4, 2024, New York City Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue in collaboration with other critical stakeholders celebrated the renovation of Vinland Playground located deep within Shore Road Park in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Bay Ridge. This project cost the City $3.4 million and transformed Vinland Playground with new playground equipment and improved landscaping.
