Council Approves Bill to Incorporate Universal Design Features in City-Funded Housing Developments

Mayor, HPD, Project Renewal Open New Affordable Housing with Aquaponics Farming in Bedford Park

The building’s living green facade helps reduce air pollution and conserve energy. On July 14, 2022, Mayor Eric Adams, joined by the Department of Housing Preservation, the Housing Development Corporation, and non-profit Project Renewal, celebrated the opening of the first phase of Bedford Green House. Governor Signs Legislation Establishing Public Housing Preservation Trust for NYCHA

The trust allows NYCHA to access new streams of revenue to help fund the renovations of 25,000 apartments.
