    On June 17, 2022, NYC Mayor Eric Adams and NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) Commissioner Dr. Ashwin Vasan announced a roll out for COVID-19 vaccines for babies and children, aged six-months to five years. Health Commissioner Dr. Vasan stated, “As the city’s doctor, and as a father of a three-year-old, I have confidence in this vaccine, and I can’t wait to get my child vaccinated. I encourage parents to call their child’s pediatrician today or call 877-VAX-4NYC to make an appointment at one of our city sites next week. We’re ready for shots for tots!”

    As of June 21, 2022, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene website redirects users to a webpage that can be used to find vaccination locations across the five boroughs. The webpage allows users to find locations based on their address or ZIP Code, to find locations based on vaccination types, and to schedule appointments with desired COVID-19 vaccination providers. The webpage also redirects users to Google Maps should they need directions to the desired location.

    With federal approval, 10 City vaccine hubs providing the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination to children aged six-months to five years old became available on June 22, 2022. The Pfizer vaccine is also available to children aged six-months and older at many non-city sites such as pharmacies.

    NYC clinics throughout the five boroughs, that provided vaccinations for children aged five-years and older, transitioned to providing vaccinations for children and babies aged six-months and older.

    Manhattan: Times Square and NYC Health Dept. – Uptown Clinic (in East Harlem);

    Queens: Queens Mall, NYC Health Dept. – Corona Clinic, and NYC Vaccine Hub – Long Island City;

    Bronx: NYC Health Dept. – Morrisania Clinic;

    Staten Island: NYC Vaccine Hub – Empire Outlets;

    Brooklyn: NYC Vaccine Hub – The Jefferson, NYC Vaccine Hub – The Livonia, and NYC Vaccine Hub – Brooklyn Children’s Museum.
