This evening, the Center for New York City and State Law at New York Law School will host the second in a three part series “The Making of a Housing Crisis and How to Solve It.” Tonight’s program will discuss “What is Rent?” This program is co-sponsored by New York Law School’s Center for Real Estate Studies and Citizens Housing & Planning Council (CHPC).

Anthony W. Crowell, Dean and President of New York Law School and Director of the Center for New York City and State Law, will provide opening remarks. The panel will be moderated by Janaki Chadha, New York housing & affordability reporter at Politico. Speakers include Rafael Cestero, CEO, Community Preservation Corporation; Michelle de la Uz, Executive Director, Fifth Avenue Committee; Andrew Scherer, Director, NYLS Right to Counsel Project & Housing Rights Clinic; Howard Slatkin, Executive Director, Citizens Housing & Planning Council
and Cea Weaver, Director, Mayor’s Office to Protect Tenants.
