
This morning, the Center for New York City and State Law presents the 2026 Civic Fame Awards. The Civic Fame Award honors individuals, organizations, or government agencies that have made significant and long term contributions to the civic life and wellbeing of New York City. The 2026 honorees include:
- Dan Garodnick, Former Director of the Department of City Planning, Chair of the City Planning Commission, and City Council Member, District 4
- Muriel Goode-Trufant, Former Corporation Counsel, New York City Law Department
- Dynishal Gross, Former Commissioner, Department of Small Business Services
- Jocelyn Strauber, Former Commissioner, Department of Investigation
There will be opening remarks from Anthony W. Crowell, Dean and President of New York Law School and Director of the Center for New York City and State Law, and Ross Sandler, Samuel Seabury Professor of Law and Founding Director of the Center. Honorees will each offer short remarks.
