DOT Launches Incentive Program to Promote Off-Hour Deliveries, Reduce Daytime Congestion
On April 24, 2024, the New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez announced incentives to reduce truck deliveries during busy hours of the day in an effort to improve traffic safety, protect the environment, and combat daytime congestion and double-parking. Comptroller Launches Dashboard to Track Shelter and Homelessness Data
On April 18, 2024, the New York City Comptroller Brad Lander launched Charting Homelessness in NYC, a dashboard that will track NYC’s shelter population, eviction filings, and shelter exits with housing vouchers in an effort to collect data around factors that contribute to homelessness.
City Council Votes to Approve Gaming Facility Text Amendment
On April 18, 2024, the City Council voted to approve the Gaming Facility Text Amendment, which would create a framework within the zoning text to allow for the possible creation of up to three casinos citywide.
