On February 28, 2024, New York Law School hosted American Castles: 90 Years of Public Housing in New York, a discussion about the history of public housing in New York City. The discussion featured Arvind Sohoni, the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at NYCHA.
The program helps target apartments with lead paint that young children frequent. On July 14, 2021, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) launched the Team for Enhanced Management Planning and Outreach (TEMPO). The TEMPO program is dedicated to outreach, inspection and remediation of lead-based paint in NYCHA apartments where a child under the age of 6 lives or routinely spends ten or more hours a week.
On Friday, November 15, 2019, New York City Housing Authority Federal Monitor, Bart Schwartz spoke at the 164th CityLaw Breakfast at New York Law School.
