Dept. of City Planning Announces New Community Planning and Engagement Division
On February 23, 2023, the New York City Department of City Planning announced the creation of the Community Planning and Engagement Division within the department. City Announces New Biotechnology Center at the Brooklyn Navy Yard
On March 3, 2023, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, New York City Economic Development Corporation, and Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation announced the City will open a new sustainability-focused biotechnology center at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Parks Dept. Cuts Ribbon on New Park in Highbridge
On March 28, 2023, Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue and Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson joined community representatives and advocates to celebrate the opening of Corporal Fischer Park, a new park in Highbridge that replaced a formerly empty fenced off lot. The new park is on West 170th Street between Nelson Avenue and Shakespeare Avenue.
