Residential variance approved for waterfront site

Residential development on College Point manufacturing site approved. Jung Kyu Lee owned a 496,604- square-foot lot split between commercial and manufacturing zoning districts along the East River in College Point, Queens. He constructed 58 two-family homes as-of-right on the commercially-zoned portion, leaving the 144,325-square-foot manufacturing portion vacant and inaccessible from the closest street. Lee then applied to BSA to construct 28 new two-family homes on the manufacturing portion.

City Officials Break Ground on New Park in the Bronx

On November 30, 2023, Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue and New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) President and CEO Andrew Kimball joined elected officials to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new park in the South Bronx. The new park, located on Exterior Street between 144th and 146th Streets, will bring waterfront access and new open space for local Bronx residents. 


EDC Announces Public-Private Partnership to Build Film Studio Campus at Pier 94

On August 29, 2023, the New York City Economic Development Corporation announced a public-private partnership with Vornado Realty Trust, Hudson Pacific Properties, and Blackstone to build a studio campus at Pier 94 near Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan. The Sunset Pier 94 Studios project will create a film and production studio as well as public amenities for Hudson River Park.
