OATH Now Accepting Applications for CDRB Panelists

The New York City Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings (OATH) is accepting applications from qualified persons who would like to serve on Contract Dispute Resolution Board (CDRB) panels.

CDRB panels hear the final appeal in a three-step dispute resolution process contained in City contracts for construction, goods and services. Former Council Member Fined $9,000

Erik Dilan illegally received financial benefits from developer who had business before the Council.  On January 22, 2015, the Conflict of Interests Board levied a $9,000 fine on former City Council member Erik Dilan for violations of the City Conflict of Interests Law.  Mr. Dilan, now the State Assemblyman for the 54th District, was at the time the Council member of the 37th District representing Cypress Hills, Bushwick, City Line, Oceanhill-Brownsville, and East New York.  … <Read More>


Mayor de Blasio’s Land Use Appointments Carousel Continues

Mayor de Blasio has re-structured the City’s land use administrative hierarchy to further his affordable housing agenda. On July 22, 2014, Mayor Bill de Blasio nominated Margery Perlmutter to serve as Chair of the Board of Standards and Appeals. This was the Mayor’s latest appointment  to City land-use positions, all of which will bear heavily on the Mayor’s expansive affordable housing agenda, a ten-year plan designed to preserve some 200,000 units of affordable housing.
