City Planning Hears Application for New Affordable and Supportive Housing, Arts Center in East Harlem

On November 29, 2023, the City Planning Commission held a public hearing for an application to create a mixed-use 100 percent affordable building at 101 East 118th Street in East Harlem. The proposed 19-story building, called Timbale Terrace, will also be the new home for Afro Latin Jazz Alliance. The site is currently a parking lot for the New York Police Department’s 25th Precinct. City Breaks Ground on New Phase of Affordable Housing Development in Hunts Point

On November 29, 2023, the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the New York City Housing Development Corporation, and the New York City Economic Development Corporation joined the development team to celebrate the groundbreaking of the next phase of the Peninsula, a 100 percent affordable housing mixed-use campus in the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. The development team included Gilbane Development Company, Hudson Companies, MHANY Management Inc, and Wells Fargo.  


City Officials Break Ground on New Park in the Bronx

On November 30, 2023, Parks Commissioner Sue Donoghue and New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) President and CEO Andrew Kimball joined elected officials to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new park in the South Bronx. The new park, located on Exterior Street between 144th and 146th Streets, will bring waterfront access and new open space for local Bronx residents.
