City Planning Commission Certifies, Starts Public Review Process for Bronx Metro-North Station Area
On January 22, 2024, the City Planning Commission launched the public review of the Bronx Metro-North Station Area Plan. The plan compliments the development of four new Metro-North stations along the East Bronx in Parkchester/Van Nest, Morris Park, Hunts Point, and Co-Op City. The stations will be added to the New Haven line and are expected to open in 2027.

On January 3, 2024, the City Planning Commission held a public hearing for an application for a 46-story mixed-use building at 231 East 94th Street in Yorkville. The project site is located mid-block on the north side of East 94th Street between Second and Third Avenues. The applicant is LM East 94th LLC.
City Council Approves Reform Temple of Forest Hills Rezoning
On February 2, 2023, the City Council voted to approve a rezoning that would enable the redevelopment of the Reform Temple of Forest Hills to a ten-story mixed-use building that includes a new temple and residential space. The Reform Temple of Forest Hills is currently located at 71-11 112th Street in Forest Hills, Queens.
