    Mayor Adams Announces New NYCHA Appointments

    DSNY Launches New Rule Requiring Trash Containerization for Food-Related Businesses

    On June 28, 2023, Mayor Eric Adams and Sanitation Commissioner Jessica Tisch announced the finalization of a new administrative rule requiring food-related businesses to put trash in secure containers. The announcement is the newest part of the city’s efforts to combat rodent infestations.  (more…)

    On May 26, 2023, Mayor Eric Adams, the Department of City Planning, and the Department of Transportation announced the “Jamaica Neighborhood Plan,” a study that will identify new ways to create jobs, housing, and design improvements to streetscapes in Jamaica, Queens through a community-led planning process. Located at 1769 Jerome Avenue in the Morris Heights section of the Bronx, the space was transformed from a two-story single-use occupancy building to a 16-story mixed use building with supportive and affordable housing.
