On March 19, 2024, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to calendar the Frederick Douglass Memorial Park cemetery, located at 3201 Amboy Road in the Oakland Heights neighborhood of Staten Island.
On February 13, 2024, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to calendar the Brooklyn Edison Building for landmark designation. The 13-story building is located at 345 Adams Street in Downtown Brooklyn.
On January 23, 2024, the Landmark Preservation Commission held a public meeting for the proposed designation of the Tremont Branch of the New York Public Library located at 1866 Washington Avenue in the Bronx.
On December 12, 2023, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to calendar the Heckscher Building at 730 Fifth Avenue for future designation. The building, now the Crown Building, is one of Fifth Avenue’s early skyscrapers.
On October 17, 2023, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted to calendar the Tremont Branch of the New York Public Library for future designation. The library, located at 1866 Washington Avenue in the Bronx, is one of the 67 circulating libraries created with funding by Andrew Carnegie.
