Liz Fine Named Counsel to the Governor as Governor Hochul Takes Office

On August 23, 2021, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that Elizabeth Fine will serve as Counsel to the Governor. The appointment is one of Governor Hochul’s first as her new administration begins to take shape. 

Elizabeth Fine most recently served as the Executive Vice-President and General Counsel of the Empire State Development Corporation. In July 2020, CityLand featured a profile on Elizabeth Fine. To learn more about Ms. Fine, click here

Governor Hochul also announced that Karen Persichilli Keogh would serve as the Secretary to the Governor. 

Governor Hochul stated, “Karen Persichilli Keogh and Elizabeth Fine bring the depth of knowledge, leadership and experience that it will take to meet the challenges New Yorkers face. As governor, I will assemble a strong team to turn the corner on the pandemic and serve the best interests of New York, whether it’s defeating COVID, getting more people vaccinated, or strengthening our economy.”
