Governor Announces Over $390 Million for Ten Affordable and Supportive Housing Projects Across the State, Four in NYC

City and State Officials Announce Completion of Affordable and Supportive Housing Development in Coney Island

The new building is 500 feet from the beach and boardwalk. On March 30, 2022, Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) announced the completion of a new affordable and supportive housing development in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Governor Cuomo Extends COVID-related Eviction Moratorium Until January 1, 2021

The State has taken several actions to protect residential and commercial tenants. On September 28, 2020, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the statewide moratorium on COVID-19 related residential evictions will be extended through January 1, 2021. The moratorium has been in effect since March 20th and has been extended multiple times.
